Bankura's Rail Dolls hold a piece of history in its version of women empowerment. With the opening of the Railways, women travelled  across villages to do jobs such as haircuts, etc. across villages and towns.

This story is depicted on these dolls, where you see women forming a human chain, holding and supporting each other, as they waited for never horizons, every single dawn, aboard the new Bankura Rail.
